How do UV-C solutions prolong the freshness of packaged products?
A world-renowned and tested way to prolong the freshness of products in the food industry is to use UV-C light (at a frequency of 253.7 Nm, which has been shown to have the strongest germicidal effect) to decontaminate the product before packaging and even of the packaging (packaging film for example).
It is known that any contaminant that remains on the products (from the air, from handling, etc.) can cause a faster deterioration of the product. Elimination of contaminants by natural decontamination with UV-C light (solutions with panels or decontamination tunnels with UV-C lamps, located on the packing tape) has beneficial effects on the extension of the shelf life and on the health of consumers.
