What is a CIJ printer and how does it work?
CIJ (Continuous Inkjet) is a non-contact marking technology that projects ink droplets onto the moving product. It allows printing the date, batch and codes directly on the production line, at high speeds, on almost any surface: plastic, glass, metal, cardboard, cable.
What can I mark on the line with a CIJ inkjet printer?
Expiry date, production date, batch number, time, 1D barcodes, 2D and Data Matrix codes, QR, text and logos. The data is dynamic — it changes automatically for every product. Marking is done directly on the product or on the primary packaging, without stopping the line.
Which CIJ printer should I choose for my line?
The choice depends on line speed, the working environment (wet, dust, detergent washing), substrate and code type. Every application has its own right configuration, and the correct recommendation we make together, in a free consultancy session in which we qualify your application.
Do CIJ printers work in washing and humidity environments?
Yes. There are models with IP56 and IP66 protection for environments with detergent washing, high humidity and heavy dust, such as the 9450 S for the beverage industry or the 9750 Expert for harsh environments.
